I've gotten a new look...

My blog has, that is!

Hello friends! What do you think? Like it?

So, as I haven't changed my blog background or header since I started blogging, I decided it was time for a change. =)
Changes always seem so fresh and...new! =P

So, goodbye old header, I liked you when I started but it's time to go and hope you'll be picked out again next year.
And as for you, blog background, I forgot already what you looked like to I says goodbye to you.

So, I'd love to hear what you think of the new look, background, header, new colors...WDYT?

A couple books I've read

Lately I've been really into reading, I read 2 books last month.

The first being Waiting for her Isaac (click for a brief description), I really enjoyed it...seeings as I read through it in about a week. Although I did enjoy reading it, I didn't enjoy that book as much as the second one. =)

The Second:

I loved this book! =) It's a bit bigger of a book but I read it within a couple weeks, and I absolutely loved it!
For those of you who are wondering, this book is about mice.

The Author: Brian Jacques (pronounced Jakes)

When Redwall Abbey is attacked by a rat known as Cluny the Scourge, the Redwallers rise up in defense, and a young mouse known as Matthias embarks on a quest to recover the legendary sword of Martin the Warrior. ~ Plot introduction - Wikipedia

The main character, Matthias, is faced with protecting Redwall Abbey, and all who live in Mossflower woods, from Cluny the Scourge. He meets so many different kinds of animals and each has their own way of talking.
I liked the way the moles spoke best! =)

Right now I'm working on reading another book from the redwall series, Rakkety Tam.
So I'll probably have another post like this again soon. =)

So, for the lack of posting I apologize but, school comes first. Then chores. And reading or blogging (generally "goofing off"). =)

What about you? Have you read any good books lately?

In Christ,
Miss Bea

**Note** Some of the words Cluny's horde used (in Redwall) were not ones I personally would use. Just so you are aware, if you happen to pick up this book, they are evil rats and they talk differently then those from Redwall Abbey (if you get my point). I wouldn't call it swearing necessarily but some of the names they call each other are uncalled for.
As I said to my brother (who lent me the book) "Some of the things they say are...odd..." In other words, it's not a Christian book.

Finally uploaded a lot more of my autumn pictures! =)
And we also went to a friend's house last Thursday, we had fun, and I took some pictures of the view from her deck.

Some of my Club Penguin figurines, I tried taking some pictures of them...=)

Don't you just love those photos that don't come out the way you wanted them to but they still look cool???

Gotta love the water droplets!

Poor little leaf got stuck to the window while it was raining

Here it is! The view from our friend's deck...isn't it pretty?

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. - Philippians 4:8

"Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; - Philippians 2:14-15

"The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. - Psalm 28:7

Praising God for the lives saved in Chile and how many of those minors were praising Him first thing when they got out of that mine. Many of them also had Bibles and T-shirts that said "Jesus" on the sleeve. But yet, there were those few that didn't want anything to do with God, they didn't change. They were to caught up in themselves to see that only God could have let them live that long down in that mine. More than 2,300 feet underground for 69 days and yet still unbelieving.

Thanks for enduring this and reading (if you made it this far). Have a good night!

It's October

Guess what! It's October. Can you believe it?? October already! My Question of the month:

Where did summer go?

But, no matter. I love autumn!
Wait! That means winter is coming...and the cold, too!
Half of me wants to freeze time, and never let it be winter, but the other half says "but I like winter, bring on the snow!! And besides, with winter comes Christmas!" =)

I took some pictures today, of the...foliage...if you could call it that. There isn't much to see around here yet. I wish there were some red trees or something. But there isn't. So I must wait...patiently.

Apple =)

And, the most fall you get around here...for now:

A leaf

Yeah, I'd say I had fun taking pictures even if it was cold. And, even if there isn't anything terribly pretty...yet.

Happy Sunday everybody! Hope you all have a wonderful, restful day!

Fall!!!

It's here! It's officially been autumn for a week and a day. (the sky still hasn't fallen just so you know)

I have yet to take pictures of the lovely trees and other fall things around, but I will. I promise!! Besides, I absolutely need a new header! =)

My lovely laptop that died last night

I'm out a computer now...and happily using my mama's laptop instead. =)

School is great! Last night I had a speech to give (to my dad) and he said I did pretty good. (!!!)
It was only my second speech and I was quite nervous...but after getting over self I did fine.

Okay, I've been thinking about some random things this week and here are a few...

  1. Christmas. Yeah, I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet! But I've been thinking about it and wanting snow since a few weeks ago. Odd, isn't it? Partly it's the music. I love Christmas music and I want December to be here so that I can listen to it without being reminded it's not Christmas yet.
  2. Stories....yes, I like writing. I just never finish a story. Ever. I get bogged down in the details and then leave the story to collect dust in some old notebook. Then one day, I find the notebook and look through it...only to find that story. I read through, and while reading...I'm thinking, "I could have left that out" or "This really isn't a good story at all"
  3. Junk food. Ice cream (pumpkin or oreo mint!), cookies, boxed macaroni and cheese, french fries, mozzarella sticks, onion rings...you know, the kind of stuff you only get at a restaurant! =)
There you have it. Three random things that I've been thinking about this week.
Oh, I forgot something? Yeah, how did you know? I forgot to mention that I've also been thinking about a new header and background for this blog...autumn themed!

Alright, off I go to help get dinner ready. *waves*

Sorry for another silly post, but I've been in a silly sort of a mood lately! =)
