Simple Captures: Day 14

For Valentine's Day my mom was very sweet and bought each of my siblings some chocolate. 

It was yummy :-)

And also on Valentine's day, I made a heart shaped chocolate cake! 2 layers of chocolaty goodness, with chocolate frosting!

I didn't much like it with the frosting. I'm not very fond of chocolate cake/ chocolate frosting. Vanilla cake / chocolate frosting is better but my favorite is vanilla cake/ vanilla frosting. And I don't think I really like chocolate cake with frosting, since I've had it more often with just powdered sugar on top, I like that best.

It was fun to decorate thought, and my family loved it!

Welcome to Captured Thoughts!

I hope everyone is having a very Merry Christmas!

I know I am! =D

My family celebrated with the usual, Christmas story (Luke 2:8-20), unwrapping the baby Jesus and putting him in the manger (the one from our nativity scene), stockings, breakfast, presents and a ham dinner with all the fixings.

We had, ham, mashed potatoes, yams, corn, carrots, brussel sprouts, asparagus, and rolls. 

What are some of your Christmas traditions?

I may not be the best...but I'm the best me there is.

I may not have the best blog design....but I designed it myself.

I may not have the best photography....but I do the best I can with what I have.

I may not be the best writer....but I'm pretty sure I know how to say...

I may not be the best at editing photos...(^^^like that one^^^) but hey, I don't edit on a regular basis!

I may not be the best at anything....but I'm the best me there is.

I updated a bunch of stuff...new design, header, blog button...

And there's music! Do you have any song suggestions? I could use some more variety! =)

What do you think I should do as an 'event'?

Cinninninnamon Rolls!

Isn't true that most little kids can't say cinnamon? Well, if not, I was one of the rare kids that couldn't. I'd add extra inn's. (Hence the title of this post)

Randomness....10 things

10 random things? I think so!

1. Snow - We just got over a foot in one storm! I'm excited!!

2. Music - The other day I was listening to a Selah CD that I borrowed from Miss Laurie (You Deliver Me) and I heard this song that sounded familiar...it was titled, God Be With You. When I had heard it for about the 2nd time I thought, hey that sounds like...but I couldn't think of where it was from...Do you know?

3. Crochet - Last month, my family worked on making scarves for the Special Olympics in our state. We made 36 total. (pictures to come) =)

4. Snow Cream! - While the snow that we got makes it hard for travel, it makes great snow cream. We put a bowl out yesterday to catch some fresh snow to make it with....haven't made it *yet*, though I'm sure we will.

5. Movies - The last movie I watched was...Alice in wonderland, the old version. =)

I also watched City of Ember recently, and enjoyed it.=)

6. *New* blog design - Like it? It's simple yet....(your own words here)

Give me your opinion, please? Like the font? =)

7. Dessert - I love dessert!! =) Cookies, Ice cream, Cake, Brownies, Chocolate! All of it!! =)

8. School - I'm loving school (at the moment) ;D Instead of photography, I'm learning computer programming, (love love love!!) all the things you can do are amazing! I'm also having fun with Algebra...I know, I know, strange but...yeah. =)

9. What else....hmmm....think random.......Oh! I know...It's February! =D

10. I'm off to work on my newest scarf.

There! 10 random things. Why 10? Because I didn't think I could do it. =)

Snow!!

Welcome snow!! I've been waiting for you all summer! =D

We officially have snow! 5+ inches of lovely white snow. Needless to say I'm a bit excited...and bouncing off the walls. =)

It's been snowing all day, and I'm so excited for the snow to be here that I just had to go out and take some pictures!

Saturday we got our Christmas tree, so our house is beginning to look like it's Christmas. Yesterday we put lights on it, and we had some fun stringing popcorn to put on it too. (Mama, Miss Laurie and I made it a "girls thing", we strung popcorn while watching Little Women=)

So, as I haven't changed my blog background or header since I started blogging, I decided it was time for a change. =)

Changes always seem so fresh and...new! =P

So, goodbye old header, I liked you when I started but it's time to go and hope you'll be picked out again next year.

And as for you, blog background, I forgot already what you looked like to I says goodbye to you.
