Today I am...{3}

Today I am...
(and lately I have been...)

{Writing}
I'm doing this daily scripture writing plan for January:
It's fun and super easy, plus it only takes a few minutes every day!

{Reading}
This year I'm reading through my Bible
I'm also reading North & South

{Listening}
Lately it's been Pentatonix because their Pandora Christmas channel is like my favorite, but then Fernando Ortega, and some Hammered Dulcimer music.
Also one of my favorite hymns that someone sang as special music last Sunday, Little is Much if God is in it.

{Watching}
For a while I've been watching Once Upon a Time, and Heartland.
For Christmas we watched a lot of different Christmas movies.
The latest movie I saw was Beauty and the Briefcase.
I got the new Cinderella movie, and Inside Out for Christmas.

{Looking}
Because Pinterest is amazing, I've been searching for animal blankets to crochet.

{Learning}
How to drive.

{Feeling}
A lot of things. I main thing is I've been tired, and almost depressed. I think it's the time of year, winter just gets me down usually but this year there's no snow, and I'm bummed.

{Anticipating}
Having a whole week off of work! I wasn't happy at first but now I'm really looking forward to it, and starting to plan how I'm going to spend it, and what crafts I'm going to get done.

{Wishing}
I'm wishing I had a 5-year journal. And that there were more hours in the day.

{Loving}
Warm hoodies and socks. Also, I got a new king size fleece blanket for Christmas. It's really warm. I also love sleeping. Sleeping is good.

What have you been doing lately?

Day 18

Day 18, January 18, 2012
These are some of my favorite Bible verses ~ Philippians 4: 12, 13 & 19

It has been SO cold today. Well, in the 20's but it's been so windy it feels a lot colder.
I went to get the mail today and there was ice on the walkway. I slipped all over the place but thankfully didn't fall. So, ice melt was applied and the ice was soon gone. Except on the driveway. I fell down in a snow bank.
My legs slipped out from under me and there I went. Down. Thankfully it wasn't too hard of a landing. Snow's pretty soft if there's a lot of it. =D

Anyway, time for me to scoot. I gotta date with Emma...I mean the movie!

Do you have any favorite Bible Verses?
Have you ever fallen in a snowbank?

Spring Cometh To This Place

"For, lo, the winder is past, the rain is over and gone;
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; " -Song of Solomon 2:11&12

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your cares upon him; for he careth for you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: " -1 Peter 5:6-8

"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. " - Psalms 1:3

"Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands;
Sing forth the honour of his name; make his praise glorious." - Psalm 66:1&2

"The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose." - Isaiah 35:1

"Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice." - Philippians 4:4

"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." - Deuteronomy 31:6

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;" - Colossians 3:23

Have a wonderful day! =)

Happy Resurrection Day!

I thought about a fancy post but, I had no idea what do put in it. So I'll just say this:

God is SO good.

He is Risen! Hallelujah!
Jesus died for our sins, paid it all for us. Three days later he rose from the dead.

I hope today, you know the real meaning of Easter. Nowadays in this world, Easter is made to be anything but what it was meant for.
Now it means bunnies and candy....and all those things.
Easter wasn't ever meant to be like that. It's a time for rejoicing in what God did for us!
It's the best gift anyone ever gave us, and if we only accept it, then we'll go to live with Him in heaven! {I'm pretty excited about that, if ya know what I mean ;)}

Sure, easter egg hunts are fun, and bunnies (who doesn't like biting the ears off of a chocolate bunny?!), and toys are really cool (for a little while). Those things are nice, but when you compare celebrating those things with celebrating what Easter is really about? I think the best choice is celebrating what Jesus did on the cross. And, everything here on earth, it's nothing. Nothing compared to heaven, and all of the wonderful things that are waiting for us there.

At my house, we've always celebrated Easter {or Resurrection Day, we call it both}. We get our Easter baskets filled with jelly beans and little chocolate crosses...usually some little goodies like pencils or something. But it's not just that. We don't just do that. We celebrate the fact that He Is Risen! Not just today, but all year round. Giving God the glory, not ourselves. Not the candy. Not the toys or the "Easter bunny", but God.

I pray friends, that you are having a wonderful Resurrection Day!
Enjoy your goodies! ;)

P.S. I'm not trying to sound like I'm against all those things. They're fun and add a little variety to the day, but candy isn't all that Easter is about. =)

It ends at 2pm on the 23rd so hurry on over and enter!

A verse I found and loved for today. I didn't get much sleep and with a busy day ahead of me, I needed to be reminded of this before I started my day complaining...don't we all? =)

"The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praise: so shall I be saved from my enemies." ~ Psalm 18:2-3

Up to early and nothing to do!

Well, that's not exactly true...I should be working on school. But what normal kid, or teen for that matter, ever wants to do school?
I definitely am up to early though, I love it.

I'm definitely more of a morning person, although I love being a night owl too. It's because there isn't much going on. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love my family but one can only take so much of them! If you know what I mean...
Wanna-be quiet personalities like quiet. =)

The less people the better, because it's quieter, calmer, peacefuler. Wait that's not a word...anyways. I say people scare me. That's not exactly true. They don't scare me they just...well, scare me. =)

I absolutely love watching people. Love, love, love! But to have them talk to me well, that's different. I'd love to go a day without speaking. Unless it's to myself, singing or what-have-you.
I wouldn't last a whole day though. I get bored after about 2-5 seconds of being alone (exaggerated of course, it's more like minutes...).
I know that from experience.

I'd also love to have a secret hide out, where I could store all of my writings and books and things but still be able to see everything that goes on in daily life. In other words, I'd like to hide in plain sight, turn invisible...

Anyone who understands my ramblings is awarded a prize. Go get yourself a cookie. =)

I know this isn't right, the reason for wrongness I'm "not quite for certain" but I know that I am wrong. I cannot hide all the time. I have to be around people. Sharing the love of Jesus everywhere I go, but have you noticed it's hard? It's hard to share that love everywhere. In all things.
I'm sure you have. You've probably felt the want to hide too. To "get away from it all".

*sigh* If only we could. ;)

Good Morning blogging friends. Bright and early start today! =D

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. - Philippians 4:8

"Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; - Philippians 2:14-15

"The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. - Psalm 28:7

Praising God for the lives saved in Chile and how many of those minors were praising Him first thing when they got out of that mine. Many of them also had Bibles and T-shirts that said "Jesus" on the sleeve. But yet, there were those few that didn't want anything to do with God, they didn't change. They were to caught up in themselves to see that only God could have let them live that long down in that mine. More than 2,300 feet underground for 69 days and yet still unbelieving.

Thanks for enduring this and reading (if you made it this far). Have a good night!

Happy Fourth! - Late

Happy Late Fourth!
I hope y'all had a happy fourth of July...on a Sunday!! =D

Sunday was my brother's birthday so we celebrated on Saturday by going to a fair and having fried dough and freshly made lemonade then going to see Toy Story 3! (in 3D) =D
I loved it, no matter what anybody says. You know it's a good movie when everybody in the family tears up at the end. =)

On Sunday, after church, we went out for lunch and played Disc Golf...(it was our first time and we had no idea how long the course was...2 miles, 18 "holes" = over 2 hours...we even skipped 4 "holes"!!! Standing in the HOT sun, with no water...in 90 degree weather) I'm not complaining though because it was lots of fun and I'd do it again! (not after church on Sunday, and I'd bring water :P)

After our "adventure" of playing disc golf...we came back home, rested and got cleaned up and ready for church again. After church we gave my brother presents and had some cake and ice cream before heading off to the fireworks...which were VERY good! (all the pictures of the fireworks were taken Sunday night)

Monday was a total rest day. It was very warm and humid and we just stayed inside and tried to keep cool.
Today, I went swimming for the first time since the summer of 2008! :D I was really excited and I'm glad I got to go because I had such a good time. It was also warm/humid today so it was nice to be in the water.

At church on Sunday, the message was about being a good soldier. The passage we used really hit me hard. It seemed to make much more sense to me than anything else in the message.

Here's the passage we used: 2 Timothy 2:1-4
"1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in grace that is in Jesus Christ.
2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier."

My favorite verse was # 3 - "Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ."
Doesn't that just say something to you?

Here's what it said to me: "You haven't been doing your best for Jesus, you need to straighten up and stand tall. Shine the light of Jesus in any way you can. Serve Him even if it means you'll be uncomfortable. It's not about YOU it's about God."

I hope you all have a good night.

Miss Bea

Hope you like the pictures!
I found a couple Bible verses that I absolutely loved last night and I wanted to share them with you.

I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
I can do all things through Christ with strengtheneth me. ~ Philippians 4:12&13

Shopping, Shopping, Shopping!

Hey there!
Are y'all having a good weekend so far?

Yesterday, (Saturday) us girls went shopping! :) I love shopping with my mom and sister! We have so much fun just looking, not being rushed by the guys trying to hurry through the shopping. We often find great bargains and things we wouldn't have found if we didn't have time to dig through bins and shelves of stuff.

Look what I found!!
We went to Good Will and I found this cute skirt! *happy sigh* :)

Sorry you can't see it so well.

After that momma found this really cool fabric that we all thought would look good as a skirt!...

Isn't it interesting? I'm still not sure if it will look *perfect* as a skirt but we'll see. :)

And this picture is just an extra of one of my sweet pussy cats! :)

Can you guess which one? ;)

I hope you all have a great Sunday!

My Wednesday

Okay so, I know it's late but...I just wanted to do a quick post about what I did today. Hopefully tomorrow I can get more accomplished but, for now here's what I did today!

First of all, (this wasn't today but I thought you would enjoy this) yesterday my Momma, Miss Laurie and I made twinkies!

It's always a lot of fun to put them together, and they're soo yummy too!

Today...Momma and I planted some pretty flowers. =)

Then for supper I made homemade Mac & Cheese which is a family favorite! (Also very yummy)

This was before it was cooked, but doesn't it just look scrumptious??

After that, I did a photo shoot with the cows in the pasture by our house.

They were eating and didn't seem to mind...to much. =P

Thanks for tuning in on my day! I'll leave you with a Bible verse "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." ~ Philippians 4:13
